I FORGIVE YOU

I forgive you My son
With never a thought
For what you have done
Or what you have wrought

I forgive you My son
Though your sins I appal
But not even one
Can I seem to recall

My Son was impaled
So pure and so true
He accepted those nails
That were destined for you

They nailed My Son
To a piece of old wood
And a victory was won
That you never could

I’ve taken your mess
In the sea it is lost
As east is to west
Your sins I have tossed

I’ve washed and cleansed
The guilt of your hands
So wondrous the gift
That you can’t understand

But one thing I ask
If you want to be true
Go forgive others
As I’ve done for you

Excerpt from When Angry Hearts Forgive

“For if you forgive men for their transgressions, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you” (Matthew 6:14 NKJV)
